This recipe came from a home economics class my mom took in Hawaii in 1962.
Ingredients
2 Eggs
1 tbl Soy Sauce
1 tbl Sugar
1 tsp Salt
1 lb Lean Pork
3/4 Cup Chopped Scallions
1/2 Cup Chopped Chinese Cabbage (or regular)
1/4 Cup Flour
Directions
Beat eggs and add soy sauce and sugar. Add meat, scallions, and cabbage and mix until well blended. Add salt and flour and kneed well. Form into balls the size of walnuts. Fry in hot oil about 1 inch deep. Drain on paper towels. Serve toothpicks.
NOTE: The recipe calls for 1/4 tsp of monosodium glutamate. I just leave it out.
May be made in advance, refrigerated or frozen and reheated.

Welcome! I'm Deb. This site started as a way to organize my favorite recipes, gardening attempts and my love of succulents. It's kind of my little internet home. I love to cook, particularly for crowds, but I also write, garden, and upcycle (big, big fan of spray paint). I'm a California native, born and raised, living in Tennessee. I'm also a multi-media artist and hunt and sell vintage and antique collectables.
