Hawaii 1962
This recipe was found in papers of my moms. It was part of a home economics class in Hawaii, 1962.
Ingredients
(1) 6.5oz can Crabmeat
(1) tbl butter
(1) tbl Flour
1/2 cup Milk
1/2 tsp Salt
1/2 cup cornstarch
Directions
Melt the butter. Add flour until mixture is thick then add milk slowly to make a thick cream sauce. Bring to a boil and add crabmeat and salt. Chill. Form into balls the size of a walnut. Roll in cornstarch. Deep-fry. Serve hot with soy sauce and hot mustard.
Crab balls may be prepared an hour or so in advance and reheated in hot oven at 450 degrees.

Welcome! I'm Deb. This site started as a way to organize my favorite recipes, gardening attempts and my love of succulents. It's kind of my little internet home. I love to cook, particularly for crowds, but I also write, garden, and upcycle (big, big fan of spray paint). I'm a California native, born and raised, living in Tennessee. I'm also a multi-media artist and hunt and sell vintage and antique collectables.
