I grew up with a cactus garden. It was originally a passion of my fathers, but after he passed my mother always kept his cactus garden running alongside our driveway. Sometime in my adulthood, and owning my own house, I decided it was time for my own cactus garden. Cactus are a bit “prickly” and not the easiest to warm up to. I eventually became curious about succulents. Possibly due to their eccentric and other-worldly shapes. Plus how can you not warm up to Hens n’ Chicks, Donkey Tails, Baby Toes, Flapjack and Teardrop? I think now my curiosity has morphed to admiration, fascination, and obsession.
